Artist, tutor, boomerang savvy, tramper of Te Waipounamu, photographer & weather watcher. Everything is interesting. Look for not at.
My serious art career started in 1983 enrolling in a Diploma in Visual Communication at Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology. I majored in Graphic Design & minored in Photography & Print making.
This was to turn out to be the start of a full time career in the creative arts. I worked as a freelance commercial artist for a number of years and further study led to a Bachelor of Design Degree in Visual Communication. I was employed at CPIT (Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology, later Ara) for 25 years as tutor in 2 Dimensional studies in Art & Design and was responsible for writing the course outline for a Painting elective. I retired In 2020 to continue exploring and to paint full time.
